Unopened boxs of .276 "Pedersen" rounds. 1929 Production, very rare ammo. Boxs are in excellent condition. Nice piece of History for Garand Collectors! Several boxs available and all excellent condition and unopened. Select quantity desired when adding to cart, two boxs pictured are available.

The .276 cartridge was used in the testing of rifles in the late 20's. John Pederson and John Garand designs were tested using these, the rifles designated Semi-automatic Rifles, both T1 and T3, Caliber .276. The .276 cartridge use was due to the thought that a .30 cal semi automatic rifle could not be designed around it, that was light enough. In 1932 The War Dept adopted the .30 vs .276 and this round became a part of history.
